Bees’ Knees

Of knees, I have two

Symmetrically, left and right

Please, don’t fail me now

My body ages

A kink here, another there

Knees are first to go

So I limp and gimp

Groaning from hither to yon

Do bees’ knees suffer?

So I tweaked my left knee somehow on Saturday, and I’ve been hobbling around feeling sorry for myself. I’m sure it just needs a bit of rest. Maybe I should elevate it and drink wine.

Snapshot #100!

I’ve never claimed to be a professional photographer, roaming around with my trusty iPhone and snapping anything that catches my eye. Today’s snapshot, my 100th, is evidence of my lack of skills; however, I couldn’t resist asking this inscect if he’d “Bee My Only 1(00).”

He was really digging into this tasty flower, so he never answered. I took his silence as affirmation.

Peace and pollen, people!

Attraction

bright flame draws the moth
fleeting flicker captivates
brief celebration

plumage speaks volumes
come to me sweet lady bird
dance within my wings

bright blossoms to bees
irresistable teases
purple siren call

Bee Confused

silly little bee
the daisies on my tee shirt
offer no pollen.
