…It’ll make a huge mess. If said tree falls into the neighborhood lake, it’ll make an even bigger mess.

Now we’re waiting on someone to quote us a price on Fallen Tree’s removal. It will not be cheap. Sigh.
Peace, people.

I don’t think so. It stretches almost into the property across from us, so it’s impacting their ability to use their dock.

Any idea why it fell?

We’ve had some really heavy rains over the past few weeks. I think maybe the ground around the tree softened up enough that it just fell…

Ah, yes, that makes sense.
After we had “heavy” rainfall, trees drank it up. Then upper branches got heavy and started falling off.

Just a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things. Two weeks ago it would’ve made me frantic. Now, it’s “oh well.”

How awful! Glad no one was hurt, but I feel your pain on dealing with those unexpected burdens of being a homeowner.

I keep expecting the home owners association President to come knocking on my door. It’ll be a couple of weeks before anyone can come and remove the darn thing. In the meantime, the turtles are loving it.
