Dancing Alone

Always the tallest

Last one picked as a partner

A true wallflower

No one was unkind

The sad faces, exhaled sighs

Though, told the story

I so loved to dance

Had rhythm enough to spare

Oh, to be chosen

  1. Dancing in your bedroom, where nobody sees…you can do as you please, just enjoy the dance, no thoughts of romance, no humiliation, just move with your body, speak the language of the freedom of the dance.

  2. I love dancing too. I loved your words. The only person who invites me to dance these days is Paul Eugene on his old school aerobics videos.

      1. He’s such an enthusiastic person, gets me exercising while we are in lockdown, and I actually enjoy it. Give him a try.
