We’ve been told we are at war
With a virus, an invisible enemy
But our nominal president
Plays golf and tweets erratically
Swatting at Titleists
Swearing at journalists
Embarrassing most of us
While one hundred thousand Americans
Lay dead,
And it’s not yet June.
Doing the best I can with what I have
kind of sad, but not so bad with cheese. cheese not provided.

I keep thinking I’ve hit the peak of the amount of incredulity that I can possibly feel and then I see yet another news article. The bar isn’t being continually reset. The bar is actually one of those inflatable noodle guys riding a roller coaster on a row boat in a hurricane.
