What a commotion she makes when her sister goes missing
Even though when they’re paired there’s often much hissing
Rooower! Rooower! Scout calls as she wanders
Come out! Right now! Where are you? She ponders.
When finally lured from her best hiding place
Patches stretches long, with disdain on her face.
Dear sister, Patches yawns, I was here all along
Why did you disturb me with your strident song?
But Scout is oblivious having now claimed
The comfortable spot on which Patches had lain.

My two dogs are exactly the same! The 9 month old puppy searches for her 11 year old big sister, who just wants peace from the wrestling and tumbling and growling. But she is so nonchalant when she finally wanders into sight, stretching and yawning and sooo innocent looking.

I love animal interactions. They provide many hours of entertainment.

I spend a LOT of time laughing at them.

Isn’t it fun 🙂 We used to have a cat and a dog – you could read a story in their body language.

I’m afraid I’m guilty of projecting human emotions onto my cats, but I can’t help it.

I know, but may be our pets mimic our manners? 🙂

Scout is very crafty indeed! I’ve been talking notes for next time my wife or one of the kids is in prime position on the couch.

You have to get the meow just right. I believe it’s the sound a mama cat makes when bringing a mouse to her kittens. I’m sure you can pull it off.
