I opened up the Christmas closet on Wednesday and started my annual decorating routine. The tree is up and looking all spiffy with baubles old and new adorning its branches. Best of all, the Nativity scene is perfect this year with all the figurines present and accounted for—unlike a certain year in which a major player went missing. I remember that one. Well I ahve a a wee set that goes on the tree and I ahve had a few sets down the years and generally it;s been Joseph that was missing from these. But this year the three of them have plain cleared off.

Bottle of whiskey? Desk drawer? I just checked. Closest I found is Scotch (tape). Otherwise, just paperclips, pens, and a handful of ibuprofen. I feel gypped.
