We don’t see temperatures like this very often here in Florida.

We’ll bundle ourselves up in sweaters, jackets, and scarves and turn up the thermostats. It’ll be a great day for sipping hot chocolate and gathering around a fireplace.
In North Dakota, though, where Studly Doright, our children, and I lived for four years, three decades ago, 32° temps on a sunny December day might feel balmy, inspiring folks to wear short sleeves and even short pants while frolicking in the unexpected gift of a warm day. It’s all relative.

What’s the weather like where you are? Are you cavorting in summer clothing or huddling beneath a blanket? Inquiring minds need to know.
Peace, people!
Snow! First one this season! Also, puppy’s first snow. 😃
But.
First problem: daughter’s boots from last year are 2 sizes too small.
Second: Toronto is in shutdown. Only curbside pickup.
Third: she has an 11 block walk to school.
Blah.

Oh no! I love snow. Also, I hate snow. Might be time to order new boots from Amazon!

It’s gorgeous. And then it’s such a pain in the butt.

Rain, wind, fog, chilly nights that lead to scraping car windows in the morning before work. Just our typical PNW weather. Thankfully all the snow has stayed in the mountains so far.

I don’t even own a window scraper anymore.

Yesterday it was +35 Celsius, this morning 8 Celsius. Crazy stuff. But, I’ll take the cool weather any day, Derrick.

I’m in South Dakota, which is downright balmy by NORTH Dakota standards. It’s been pretty mild and bone dry the past couple of months. No sign of snow on the horizon yet.

Wow! That’s pretty unusual. What part of South Dakota do you live in? When we first moved to ND we were in Strasberg.

We had been unusually warm here, but the last couple of days have been frigid. We barely saw above freezing most of the day yesterday. Today is a little better, but it was frosty this morning. It has been so weird. We had a really early snow and freezing temps, then the really warm stretch. The cold, while absolutely normal for this time of year, feels like it hit all the sudden out of the blue. We haven’t had that gradual easing into it that makes it more tolerable.

That makes it really hard. We went from mid-70’s yesterday to low 30’s this morning.

For us in sunny Brisvegas we had a cool change last night. Today was a little cloudy and a temp of only 30 Celsius that is.
