We’re having some air conditioning issues here at Doright Manor. I might write about them if any sanity remains after the technicians get through fixing the problem. Right now I’m too hot, sweaty, and annoyed to type more than a few sentences.
Yesterday when the repairman was here he took the thermostat off the wall, and I realized that at one time, Doright Manor had some really busy wallpaper.
I’m not a fan of wallpaper anyway, and this pattern made me shudder. Thank goodness they stripped the walls and painted them a nice boring white before we first looked at the house. Sure saved me a lot of unpleasant work.
Okay, that’s enough for now. Perspiration is blurring my sight.
Peace, people!
Last vacation day and the internet is sooooo slow loading that I’m taking your word on what I assume is the wallpaper picture. Think I’m ready to return to civilization!

I was… until I left the island and ran into all the traffic again! But work calls in a few days so I suppose I have to be a responsible adult 😉

Sounds like you are almost exactly one year behind me. We did all of this last year as our AC died the day before Hubby’s birthday, which was yesterday. I really hope you don’t have all the same chaos that we did, but I do hope you have as awesome a crew doing the work! Stay cool!

Thanks! Our crew just barely was smart. I think it’s finally fixed, though. Fingers crossed.

Never fails – if your AC is going to go on the fritz in Florida, it has to be in August!

I know! It’s like a bad cliche.

Hope the fix has held up. We had some a/c drama a couple of weeks ago and managed to squeak by with a fix that only costs a couple of hundred dollars. Ugh. – Marty

Ours ended up being almost $700. And now we have a leaky roof. Ah, the joys of home ownership.

Oh, I’m so sorry. Geez, you’re right: home ownership is not for the faint of heart.
