I remember being scared to push the publish button, perhaps with good reason. At any rate, for better or worse, here’s the first piece I ever published on WordPress. I’d like to think I’ve come a long way, baby, but honestly, I’m still a mess.

I love Thomas. My oldest grandson had all of the engines and loads of track and accessories. At one time I could name all of the engines and knew which ones were grumpy.

Oh our wee grandie is like that Leslie. He loves Tommie And he’s been down to Drayton Manor twice. When he met the Fat Controller he was beside himself with joy. The man said he’d never had a reaction like that and it made his day.

Oh, that’s so sweet! My grandson is nearly 17 now, and he donated all of his Thomas toys to a children’s hospital. I was sad to see them go, but so proud of him.

That is sweet. When we came here to this house I had no idea re the attic eaves and actually neither did the people living here ( sons of the deceased owner) –another story –but our last house had gigantic eaves. Anyway I binned and I binned and I binned for days, stuff in THOSE eaves that had belonged to my girls. My decision making ultimately was simple as I thought..(((oh if only this next house had eaves like these))).. would I insult my new baby grandie with these ancient Thomas toys –clockwork railway, shape sorter etc. The answer was no. So yep I binned. BUT how I wished and wished for eaves. And no-one was more gobsmacked than me when the MR said, as we drove away from this present house, after the where’s the electric meter etc. visit, ‘did you know about the attic eaves?’ Hell..I shoulda asked the goddamn good fairy for a fecking swimming pool when on moving day I saw them through the hole the sons had knocked in the wall to find where the meter was cos they didn’t know, having only ever partied in and wrecked the house. And I so regret binning the things I did when I see how much our grandie loves Thomas. But so nice re your grandson doing that.

Ahh, so that’s the reason for the title. Thanks for sharing that; I was obviously too lazy all this time to find it myself. 🙂 – Marty

I’m terrible about going back and reading earlier posts of folks I follow. It’s like I pretend you all were just born the day I noticed you. 😉
