I’ve Been Drunk
words by Leslie Noyes
I’m usually sober, but I have been drunk. Sometimes one glass of wine leads to another,
And I lose count. Mind, this isn’t my usual state. Normally you’ll find me sober as a saint.
Tonight, though? Tonight I succumbed. Tonight I forgot about rules and restrictions.
I did not drown my sorrows; I celebrated my joys. Oh, my heart! I have so very many.

What ever you were celebrating i am thrilled for. There are so many sorrows that we’d be drowned before the sun is over the yard arn. So I say axknowledge the good stuff. Even if it brings a headache 😇😆🍷🍻

An evening glass (or two) of a half decent red is one of life’s pleasures I find. Certainly, when the drought of words afflicts, that glass I speak of can be a cure all…although too much wine leads to penned rubbish! Reads a bit like the sermon Bacchus himself may have given to his congregation!
