Drove to the beach
Picnicked on the pier
Waded in the waves
Sipped at a beer
Napped beneath the sun
Strolled upon the sand
Searched for seashells
Listened to a band
Gathered up the towels
Rinsed off my toes
Drove into town
Rubbed lotion on my nose.
That sounds like a day I would have enjoyed with a friend on St. George Island! ๐ I would have enjoyed the escape from the Midwest and sipped at a gin and tonic out of a insulated tumbler under an umbrella on the beautiful beach with the sun on my bare feet dreaming of a summer trip for long week up high in the snow-capped mountains beneath the starry skies.

Your paragraph is much more lyrical than my poem was. Thought of you today! I ate at the same restaurant on the beach and had crab cakes. Yummmmm!

I just drank wine and was struggling with prepositions! Yummmm – Now you’ll have me dreaming of crab cakes on the beach! Forget the mountains and our mid-day diet of power bars!

Notice I was dealing in phrases. After a glass or two of wine sentences were out of the question!
Where are you that there are mountains?

This is so wonderful. It could be a new poetic style– the Prepositional Poem. ๐

Truth is, after a day in the hot sun my mind wouldn’t form complete sentences.๐
