Cringing Along

In response to the Daily Post’s Daily Prompt: Do you feel uncomfortable when you see someone else being embarrassed? What’s most likely to make you squirm?

living a cringe-free
life; wouldn’t that be super?
i just can’t comply.

this one makes the cut

errors in spelling
and grammar, too make me cringe
including my own.

…surely spelling isn’t one of them

even smart people
can commit cringe-worthy crimes
i’m pleading the fifth.

  1. I’m embarrassed for people who make grammar and spelling mistakes in public. Except if they’re paid to write and do it in front of millions of readers. Then I’m just pissed.

    1. Mistakes happen. I once worked for a small town newspaper, and our editor was a stickler for perfection. Even so, every now and again we’d commit an error that would cause a bit of commotion around the office. It’s very difficult to maintain perfection.
