Snapshot #133

I captured this photo in our neighborhood. It’s called, “Flower,” until someone can tell me what it actually is.

My friend, Lydia highlights the hypocrisy of our current administration. Trump certainly is full of it. Read more at alotfromlydia.wordpress.com.

Donald Trump said during his campaign: “If you’re not guilty of a crime, why do you need immunity for?” —(Nice English btw.)

Here we are on the last day of March, and Trump tweet says:

Donald Trump has been told repeatedly that the numbers in the election are not historic…

Actually they are, but not for the reasons he is selling. The numbers are historic because it was a popular vote win by 3 million votes for a candidate who was robbed of victory by the opposing candidate who colluded with Russia in order to “win”.

As far as Flynn asking for immunity, the strategy was set long ago. Robert Keller, attorney for National Security advisor for Mike Flynn, said in November—

“Prediction: Donald Trump will make novel and unusual use of President’s pardon power. An under-utilized tool of political power.”

I strolled for a bit around the neighborhood last evening with my friend, Linda and her adorable dog. Let’s call this one, “A Walk with Rusty!”

This is another picture I took while vacationing in Jamaica. I call it, “There’s Magic in a Tropical Sunset.”

Snapshot #130

Several years ago I spent a couple of weeks visiting my sister-in-law and her husband in Jamaica. I took hundreds of photos and then promptly lost my digital camera a couple of weeks after my return home. Fortunately I’d uploaded a few to my computer. This is one of them. No one wants to see a future where a dystopian world unfolds

This territory of confusion, with wars that loom ahead

Waged by selfish shortsightedness, can we have a do-over instead?

This particular war was started with attacks against our own

In the distant future we’ll see clearly all we should have known

We sit back and watch protections that had been put in place

Eliminated under false pretense by a man with an orange face

He isn’t doing us a favor, although that’s…

An ahem, friend shamed me into discarding my vanity and sharing a photo of me without makeup. Please note the cute haircut after poking fun at my naked face.

I call this one, “Jennifer Aniston has Nothing to Worry About.”

Today has been a perfect spring day here at Doright Manor. As I sat outside with a wee glass of wine and a good book I began hearing a pair of owls calling to each other from across the neighborhood. I snapped this photo and dare you to find the owl. I call this one, “I Promise There’s an Owl in This Photo!”
