I saw this question on Facebook, then stole it for my author page:
Do you have a literary crush? A fictional guy or gal who makes your heart beat just a little faster?
For me, it’s Jamie from Outlander. Oh, and Roark from J.D. Robb’s “In Death” series. And if I’m being honest, I have a huge crush on Mark Fields, aka Dr. Hunky, from my own Happy Valley series. Of course, I get to tell him what to say and how to act, so it’s no wonder I love him. Too bad that doesn’t work in real life with Studly Doright.
Studly: “Hey, I’m going for a burger. Want one?“
Me: “Studly, maybe you should ask like this: ‘Hey sweetheart, I love you and can’t bear to be away from you for very long, so would you please come along with me to get dinner? We’ll go anywhere you choose. You’re just so beautiful and sweet and smart, and…’ Studly? Studly?”
Anyway, who’s your fictional crush?
Peace, people.
I did a bookish a-z tag the other day, which asked a similar question. I don’t know if I do…

Have you read the Outlander books?

No. It’s not a genre I usually read but people say they’re great

They’re lots of fun. A little addictive. I put off reading them for ages.

I don’t think I have one, but if I did it would be a super bad ass female character who with one look could stomp the patriarchy.

Yeah. That’d be awesome.

LOL, the ending had me laughing. SAME thing with my husband. My literary crush has always been, from the age of 9 years old until now… Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. The boy who only had heart and eyes for Anne. The hard working young man who sought only Anne. The distinguished (and, ahem, handsome!) doctor who worked hard for his family… and loved his wife like no other. Ugh. I die. I want a Gilbert Blythe!

My daughter had a crush on him, too.

Roark from the “In Death” series–he is wonderful! Our local indy bookstore had their twice yearly $1 sale this weekend and I picked up two more ‘In Death’ books. Eve and Roark are the best duo!

I can’t remember where I left off in that series! I kind of burned out, but I think I need to rekindle my love affair with Roark.

Heathcliff from Withering Heights…that is until I grew up and dated a brooding male…

I’ve always fancied Sydney Carton. And Rhett Butler.
