Connie is a real life friend, as well. We went to high school together my senior year, and we looked enough alike that our principal used to get us confused. She’s a sweetheart.

I just watched “The Father” with Anthony Hopkins over the weekend. It was a searing look at dementia from the patient’s POV. Very powerful.

I don’t think I could watch that. I fear dementia more than any other illness. I’ve given my family strict instructions on how I want to be cared for if I fall victim.
