Three Fact Friday

I didn’t know what to write today, so I copied a blogger I follow on Facebook, who on Fridays lists three facts about her week and then invites her readers to post three facts about theirs. So here goes:

1. I had my first ever physical therapy session today on my frozen shoulder and it’s so sore. I took the pain meds my doctor prescribed and now I’m as dizzy as a drunk frog.

2. I love my grandkids more than they will ever realize. I love them so much it hurts sometimes.

3. I’m craving Italian for dinner, but Studly is exhausted and doesn’t want to go out. I’d call in an order and bring our favorite meals home, but I still have that drunk frog thing going on.

Okay, it’s your turn. Hit me with your three facts.

  1. First, I want to know how it is that you know what a drunk frog feels like?? My three facts: I got some new trekking poles for hiking. They’re pretty snazzy. My daughter just found a new place to live in Colorado when she moves next month. My ex just up and decided to retire so that means his pension will start, and as per our divorce, I get half.

  2. Okay, I’ll play!

    1) I ate salmon today…for the first time ever. And it was unbelievable. I don’t know how I let this delicacy slip by me!

    2) I chatted with my neighbor earlier tonight and at some point when I wanted to say her name…I’d forgotten it. This is someone I consider a friend. I feel like such a tool.

    3) I registered to do a course through a distance learning university and I’m 87% sure I’m not up for it, but I’m too proud to deregister some subjects. So pain and suffering it is then…

    Have a good weekend!

    1. I love salmon, so welcome to the club. And I’ll bet you’ll be able to handle that coursework—unless it has to do with your neighbor’s name….Hey, I make my husband wear a name tag….

  3. 1. I’m so grateful Spring has arrived early in North Dakota, but I am a little wary that we may yet get snow before May arrives. Today I noticed my chives coming up already!

    2. Work has slowed down enough that I can take a breath and get some projects done. I enjoyed work this week for the first time in months.

    3. My boyfriend is cooking pork steaks on the grill for supper right this minute. What a lovely end to a Friday!

    1. We lived in North Dakota for three years, and I’d put money on you getting more snow, but I’ll cheer for your chives all the same.

Sounds like you’re due for a a great weekend! Enjoy.

  4. 1. I watched Godzilla vs Kong, and I felt like a happy child again.
    2. I am one chapter away from finishing a report for school, and I am still procrastinating.
    3. I’ve had showers, but haven’t washed my hair once this week. Luckily it’s thick and long, so I can just put it up. Every time I go to do it, something happens, lol.

  6. It’s Saturday, does it still count?

    1. I finished my white cabinet (for now) and am gearing up for the insane part of building actual cabinets from scratch and am terrified.

    2. My book turns 2 today and I still cannot believe I did that.

    3. I will never, ever understand why The Powers That Be make it insanely hard to do college in a reasonable fashion that actually helps our younger generation get off to a decent start in life and it makes me sad to see the stress of that pushing down on those that fall through all the gaps and don’t qualify for help.

    1. Of course it counts. Happy birthday to An Unexpected Turn. And those cabinets will be beautiful with the Renaissance Woman on the job. As to #3, I’m watching my two High school senior grandkids stress out right now. This past year has done a number on them.

      1. Our is my son’s GF. She is supposed to come here for college as she lives in a different state. The hope was to have her live here since she didn’t get a full ride, but there are so many rules around it, it looks like she’ll be forced to live on campus and add a massive chunk of change to her college debt.

  7. I don’t have a list. I’m still enjoying the term “dizzy as a drunk frog”. I’ve never heard it before and it tickles me. Thank You! John

  8. I hope the therapy works on your shoulder. I had that a couple of years ago and PT helped immensely. My therapist advised me how to set up my computer screen and keyboard to be more ergogenic. I know you have been doing a lot of writing lately. Maybe your therapist can help you with that too.
    1) The deer haven’t eaten my purple crocuses this spring.
    2) There’s a full moon tonight.
    3) We adopted a new cat; he makes three.
