I have to brag on Studly Doright. About three weeks ago he took possession of a rundown 1994 Kawasaki KDX 200.
Not only was it rundown, it was ugly. Seriously ugly.
The bike hadn’t been shown much love, and Studly wasn’t even sure he could find the parts necessary to make it right.
But today. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, after tons of hard work, blood, sweat, a few tears, and a bit of hearty cussing, this bike made its debut.
And the ultimate test? It runs.
Now maybe he’ll fix the light in the guest bathroom.

Fixing a light is just SO beneath a master such as Studly! It does look 100% better for sure.

Lol. Home repairs aren’t his favorite. I guess if he could ride the house on some adventure he might enjoy working on it more.

I didn’t even mention that he took every mechanical part of the bike apart, cleaned them all, replaced what needed replacing and rebuilt it from the ground up. The man has skills.

WAY back when I was actually young (lol!) I dated a guy that did some racing and was working on rebuilding a bike. He did the whole striping it down to individual pieces, cleaning, and custom painting before putting it all back together. I saw how much work it was, so I can completely understand the skills it takes for a project like that. It really is impressive.
