Snapshot #269

Yesterday, rather than jumping into the Black Friday shopping melee, I opted to look for garage and estate sales while Studly Doright played golf. I bought a couple of fun books, but my prized acquisition was this very un -Christmasy Christmas ornament.

Folks, I’m a traditionalist when it comes to decorating the Christmas tree. I like snowflake and angel ornaments, Santas and snow people, so I’m calling this one, “There’s No Place for Han on the Holidays.”

Being a fan of all things Han Solo, though, I might have to find him a spot on the tree this year. I don’t even have a bad feeling about this.

Peace, people.

  1. Front and center flanked by Santa and angels or hidden in some obscure spot near the back?

We have an ornament like that. It has some hockey on it for a team that no one likes in Toronto. A rival team ornament. It was a gag gift and every year someone hangs it front and center. Every year it gets moved to the back numerous times. It’s tradition!

  2. I have an ornament that the kids insist goes on the tree every year. Every year they threaten to put in in the front. Every year I have to remind that that if I see it in the front, it goes in the trash. They find this funny, but that stupid thing ends up on my tree every year.

    1. I have several different Han action figures. Until our last move I had a cardboard cutout of Han encased in carbonate. I have a Han coffee mug and all of the extended universe books featuring him. I might’ve been obsessed at one point.
