Sometimes I like to wander aimlessly around outside. This morning was one of those times.
And sometimes I run into the coolest stuff:
I believe she’s laying eggs. Later I’ll go out and put some protective cover over the spot.

I’ve witnessed several mama turtles giving birth, but by the time I get to the site, the predators have already dug up the eggs.

For awhile I just wandered. Then I saw mama turtle!

Oh, you had a turtle in your yard! I so love turtles. I just picked one up out of the street the other day and we released her into the lake in the park by our house. It was so cute, there was another turtle sunning on a log that looked just like her. 🙂
What a wonderful way to spend part of your day, just wandering around the yard. A quite beautiful and varied yard I might add.
