The Sewing Circle
by Leslie Noyes
Friends of a feather
Gathered closely together
Nimble fingers poised

A work in progress
Stitches in red, white, and blue
Most, perfectly spaced

“Janis, there’s a hitch
In the shape of your last stitch.”
“No, that clump is trump.”

OK, Nice . So you riff Janis and I rip Van Dyke Parks…. By the By, are you gonna blurb my little book of poesy….you have about six months to decide. Go here https://1xpad.com

Honestly, I’m not sure what you mean. Remember, you’re dealing with a non-published, grandmother here.

Thanks for the images which whisked me back more than 70 years, to see my mom and neighbours making quilts on frames like that.

My grandmother was a quilter. I still would like to learn how.
