I reblogged a post yesterday called “News Flash for Mr. Trump.” In the post, author Jan Wilberg of redswrap.com, contends that we shouldn’t be surprised by the recording of Donald Trump bragging about having committed sexual assault. Jan is absolutely right. The man has shown us who he is time and again and his misogyny should by now be an ugly given.
That post on my blog was viewed by far more people than anything I’d written that day. Overwhelmingly the comments were in agreement with Ms. Wilberg. Except for this one:

I’d ask you to read that last sentence until it sinks in. This man totally embodies what Hillary Clinton meant when she called half of Trump’s supporters “deplorable.”
Now I didn’t approve his comment, and perhaps I’m giving him way too much attention by sharing his comment here, but I think it’s important that we acknowledge the sheer hatefulness and evil that is out there. And guess what? It’s all in the Trump camp.
A vote for a third party candidate is a vote for Trump. Get out there and vote blue. Don’t let the deplorables win.
Peace, people.
i read and sit here and shake my head, unbelievable

The debate was screened live, here in Australia. Like Julz, I just shake my head. Imagine him as president! And, give the man a tissue someone, please.

I went to bed early and will have to watch a recording. His election is giving me ulcers.

I read your repost yesterday, but I didn’t leave a comment. I had too much I wanted to say. If I’d tried, my comment would probably have ended up being about five paragraphs long. I thought Aaron’s response was very revealing. I’m assuming what he is saying is not literally true (although that’s not necessarily a safe assumption to make these days). It’s easy for hate to get whipped up on social media. In fact, it’s one of the main reasons I stopped using Twitter much. What responsible politicians do is try to calm such emotions. Donald Trump fans the flames. He’s a very dangerous individual.

Trump has brought out the loonies and paraded them around like they’re the sane ones.

It is truly shocking that he’s come this far. 😦

I think that word ‘tosser’ is once more appropriate young Leslie. I guess in his defence all one can say is that being plainly intellectually challenged he is not responsible for what he says?

Oh, he’s responsible.

I felt sure he was. What with Brexit here, and Trump over there, it’s all going horribly wrong. This very morn I heard some young American gals being interviewed on the BBC saying they would still vote Trump! What on earth is happening?

The logic is warped. I feel like I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole with Alice.

I that you’d have more fun that way…although the image of Trump as The Mad Hatter springs to mind.

Yes. Although the mad hatter had better manners.

And there are enough people to make ‘deplorable’ viable. God help the world

I blow hot and cold about whether it’s good or not to allow those kinds of blog comments to be approved. In the main, I think it’s a good idea — sensible people of all views need to see the hate that is out there. But it’s sometimes very hard to read them all the same.

The hate and the ignorance just blew my mind.
