I have no phobias as far as I can tell. At one time in my life I was fearful of escalators, but only those heading down. After years of traveling through airports and department stores I overcame that fear. The time it took to circumvent the escalators cut drastically into my travel and shopping time, so I cured myself.
I do understand irrational and deep seated fear, though, and I’m sympathetic to those who suffer from phobias. Having said that, some of these are a bit hard to swallow:
Pharmacophobia is the name given to the fear of medicines.

And then there’s

What is the fear of Victorian dolls in antique shop windows named I wonder

There was me thinking I was special! Good thing it said ‘Pedio’ rather than ‘Pedo’ I suppose!

As a child I remember the antique doll shop on Richmond Hill overlooking the River Thames…hated it!

There are several films in which antique dolls are possessed by evil spirits, and a memorable Twilight Zone episode about one such doll that should have, but didn’t, give me nightmares.

Victorian dolls then next in my list would be Clowns then (perhaps this should be top of the list thinking about it) flying…tried it once and didn’t take to it at all. Ships, trains and cars for me!

I love to fly. But, then again, I enjoy all forms of travel. My mother-in-law and I spent a memorable weekend in Chicago. We rode Amtrak to the city, took a cab from the train terminal to our hotel, rode the EL (elevated train) from our hotel to Michigan Avenue, walked for miles, and then took a city bus back to our hotel. We tried to get in every possible form of public transit that weekend, and almost succeeded.

Then like my Shirley you are brave gal…you even ride a motorbike as Shirl used to…me? A yellow streak I am proud of…only thing that ever made me nasty was whisky, long since out of my life and presently far right idiots…they grow by the day it seems in Europe/UK as refugees are refused compassion. What a world we live in, Trump in with his pomp and Europe in meltdown. I am off to France and Belgium in the morn (last minute decision) to see for myself what is going on in Calais and Dunkirk.

A duck watching you would seem pretty far-fetched, but what with IT creativity and all, isn’t that a duck-shaped drone flying-spying up there?

I heard the term “little brother” the other day in reference to the inability to go anywhere now without risking one’s right to privacy.

I have to go for additional tests. I’ve decided not to worry. If it’s bad I’ll deal with it. If it’s nothing, then I worried needlessly. Of course in the wee hours of the night I forget my resolve.
