show off,
center stage,
hog the spotlight,
all the rage.
take a bow,
curtain call,
extend your roses
to passion’s thrall.
humility,
a useless trait
when bright accolades
exacerbate.
every ounce
of art demands
blood of heart and soul
grandstands.

Good read and nice pic.

Oh, dear. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’m naturally a very modest person, so I’m not sure how I will handle it when I eventually get my Nobel Prize for Literature.

I’m sure you’ll give an engaging speech and then indulge yourself in the accolades before retiring to your modest home in Mt. Olympus.

Now you mention it, that does sound like what I should do.

Is a cracker a good thing?

A cracker is the very best of things…probably a word not used too much these days thinking about it. My old Dad would say it a lot as in ‘That was a cracker of a game’ or ‘She’s a bit of a cracker’ etc.
