I’ve tried being
philosophical,
but it isn’t my style, and
Practicality
is practically
unobtainable.
I think I’ll be
winsome instead.
Winsome seems a
logical choice,
neither happy nor
morose, yet somewhere
in between as in,
you WIN SOME,
you lose some.
Perhaps I have
a bit more
wondering to do
before I find my niche.
I’ll just be
winsome until
something better
comes along.

That is a light, cute verse. It matches the doll very well too. (She reminds me of someone famous and I can’t think who.) I had a quick look on Google and found pictures of other dolls by the same maker. I like the look of them. I also like “winsome” as a word, although it’s one I’m not sure I’ve ever used. I wonder if I can sneak it into a future post somewhere?

Seriously, she reminds me of the actress who played Olive Oyl in the Popeye film, but I can’t remember her name.

That’s exactly who I was thinking of too. As soon as I read your reply I thought, “Yes!”

You’re welcome. I’m trying to find places to use the word now.

Hmmm, I’ll see if I can start using it myself!
