Snapshot #83

I’m in love with this photo. It was taken as I walked through my neighborhood. I call it, “Moon Over My Forest.”

Darkness Haiku

I. Do not fear darkness

when night envelopes the land;

embrace the respite.

 II. Lives lived in shadow

between sunshine and starlight;

flicker as fireflies.

III. Sun sets for us all,

eventually we sleep;

The one way journey

Full Moon Haiku

full moon, golden orb.
black night’s answer to sun’s light.
sisters of heaven.

fleeting lunar sign
waning body fades to dark,
empty, moon called new.

oh man in the moon,
walk us, watch us, guide us home.
gently hold our hands.
