soothing mirrored surfaces
silent secrets kept
A trip through life with fingers crossed and eternal optimism.
Doing the best I can with what I have
kind of sad, but not so bad with cheese. cheese not provided.

the photo – as often in your posts – is such a seamless fit 🙂 I repeated the verses over a number of times, trying to figure how you placed such a “soft… soothing.. silent…” feel to them and bingo: all those Ss! this is a technical question: did you craft that purposely? are Ss meant to be soft or does the repetition do it?

This poem I did craft consciously, but only after much trial and error. Most of my stuff starts out clunky and only after I revisit it a bazillion times do I say, oh wait, it should be this instead of that.

thanks for explaining, so re-re-re-visiting is the key to apparent simplicity after all 🙂

It is beautiful! Perhaps some secrets are locked between the objects and their reflections.

My beautiful former sister-in-law took the photo. Her father was a professional photographer and she’s certainly got his eye, I think.

The image is beautiful indeed, but it was your poem that I loved the most.
