Living in the Florida panhandle insures that on most days I’ll be able to wander about outside in flip flops, a t-shirt, and capris. This is not going to be one of those days.
We’ve been fortunate this winter to have had very few nights when the temperatures dropped below 50° F. I guess we’ll just have to grin and bear it.
Yes, I know so many of you in the frigid parts of the country would gladly change places with me right now. Our daughter who lives in Port Byron, IL, certainly would.
As would some of our friends from our old stomping grounds near Bismarck, North Dakota.
We lived near there for almost four years. Brrr.
So today I’ll wear jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt, and real shoes. Might even need a light jacket. I think I’ll probably survive.
Wherever you happen to live, stay warm and safe today!
Peace, people.
Tell them up in Georgia to shut the door! 🙂

I really want to feel bad for you, but… that would be balmy right now compared to our 14°F. Okay, okay. I feel a little bad. Stay warm!

Just to be clear. Those temperatures are Fahrenheit right???
Because 36oC is where we are at right now. Please don’t hate me because the humidity is killing us.

my darling, I once said, if you re used to whatever temp, then any drop at all makes it seem like winter. Bitter, freezing winter, even if that may be summer by elsewhere . x

I have been reading your blog for about two months now and I think it is time to follow. Being a resident of Florida two years now you feel like a friend! Venice was 42 this morning. I am still curled up on the couch with two cabana towels over me. It was chilly yesterday and I was able to pull on my good old jeans! Jeans today too! I have been enjoying your blog… I think I found you by way of Kate at Views and Mews Coffee Kat blog. You got to be a good peep, you have cats!

😊 Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad we found each other and I’ll start reading your blog. I’m WAY behind on reading. Stay warm.

Thank you for the follow and I am happy to meet you! Enjoyed the iguana post. I have not posted to my blog since last June, I think I am in an extended hiatus… I am an inconsistent blogger.

Sounds like terrific weather! I picture retiring to Florida in about twenty years. Until then, it’s boots and jeans and bullshit for me. Haha. Great post!

I came from the land of bullshit, boots, and jeans—the Texas panhandle. That’s a great life, but I can’t say I’d want to return there after living here.
